MURRAY HILL: ABOUT TO BREAK
New York City's glad-handing comedian and beloved international showbiz trooper Mr. Murray Hill makes his Edinburgh Fringe debut with About To Break!, presented in association with Alan Cumming and Joe’s Pub at The Public. About To Break! is a rip-roaring comedy show about a man who loves to perform, performs to live and loves it...mostly. “It’s all heart and guts,” says Murray.
Called “the reigning patriarch of downtown performance” by The New York Times, Hill has made a brand-new show that shines a spotlight on a guy who keeps going despite the struggles and heartbreak of years in showbiz. The guy who’s seen the bright lights, but also the lonely nights after the curtain falls. The guy they call, “Mr. Showbiz”.
Hill, who is much taller online, performs his signature blend of showbiz stand-up, hammy humor, trademark crooning and outrageous audience interaction. It’s all fun and games until he gets to the hard questions. The ones you might not want answers to. Every night of the month-long run will be different! The audience will re-live details of his chronic middle-aged crisis, numerous comebacks attempts and his life with the ladies.
One man. One story. One tuxedo. One middle-aged crisis...well, maybe three. Murray Hill is about to break and you want to be there. They don’t make ‘em like him anymore.
